PACKED SAFE AND SOUND

Exporters often have cargo delivered directly to Schiphol. It can happen that they receive a message that the shipment has not been packed properly for air transport. As a result the cargo will not be accepted for the flight. “This happens regularly,” says René van der Werff from Maple.

“Then we are called in, direct from our Schiphol location; to ensure that the cargo meets all air cargo requirements within the shortest possible time.” For safety reasons, you don’t want cargoes to shift during take-off, landing or in-flight turbulence. That is why the requirements are so strict. The cargo must be packaged and secured for air freight. “What we pack is very diverse. From agricultural machinery parts to ship components and even unique old-timers. We can do all this quickly because we are close to Schiphol Airport. And because of our good cooperation with the authorities in and around Schiphol. That way, the cargo is still on time for its flight.”
